4 days of Camping....
We went camping for 4 days this week. It was a lot of fun... we have a 12' alluminum boat and a 5 1/2 horsepower Johnson motor as well as a Minn Kota 30 thrust electric motor. We had plenty of fun fishing and camping, and walking. We only caught 5 fish... though.

"A Clever Rabi"
I recently heard of a story told by Jews. It is of the time which they claim to be the "Golden Age of the Jews". It was when they were in Spain under the Moors. Here it is:
" In a beautiful town in Spain, there lived many Jews. The king of the town didn't want them in his town. He wanted to throw them out. But he also didn't want a reputation as a mean, ruthless ruler. So he sent out a proclamation that said this: 'The Jews in my kingdom must prove their loyalty to me. So they must chose a man or woman among them to come to my palace and answer some questions. If he gets them correct, then the Jews may stay. If he doesn't, well, then they must leave.'
The Jews panicked. Most of them weren't very educated. But at last they chose the town Rabi, very smart, to go. When he went, he was nervose, knowing that his people's homes were at stake. When he came into the kings presence, he regained his composieur. If the God of the Hebrews wanted them to stay, he would help him.
The king said, "The first quetion is a knowledge test. How many stars are there?
"5,234,000", answered the Rabi promptly.
The king was astonished. He didn't think anyone knwe that answer. But he asked, "How do you know that?"
"I counted them. If you don't believe me, count them yourself!" was the answer.
The ruler went on to the next question, sure no one could answer it. "What is the distance between a truth and a lie?"
At this the Rabi was puzzled. He thought for quite a while. When the king was about to say, "Your people must leave my kingdom", The Rabi said, " I have it! The width of one hand!"
The king was puzzled. "What do you mean?" He asked?
"The truth is what you see with your eyes. But a lie is what you hear. The distance between your eyes and your ears is the width of your hand. Therefore, that must be the distance between a truth and a lie!"
The king was stumped! He had never knew such a clever being. But confidently, he said, "Before you is a bowl. It has 2 labels in it. The say, " STAY ", and "LEAVE". Which ever one you chose shall be the one you shall do.
The clever teacher was wary, sure that the king had put on BOTH of the labels, LEAVE. So he grabbed one up, and plopped it in his mouth chewed and swallowed.
"What are you doing!" asked the king.
The Rabi answered him, " The one that is in the bowl is the opposite of the one I ate. So open the one and see waht it says."
The king opened it, and sure enough, it had the word "LEAVE" on it. So, true to his word, the king let the Jews stay in his kingdom as long as he lived."

In May of 1950, something happened in Mosinee, Wisconsin, a small town of about 8,000people. Joseph Kornfeder, a former Communist leader, came into the town. He agreed with the town leaders to have a mock-Communist takover. And he was to be the leader for the day.
They "murdered" the mayor, and herded all known Civic and Church leaders into the town jail. They they herded many of the buisnessmen and workers into a "concentration camp".
Kornfeder then made the theaters in the town play Russian-translated Propoganda. Then all of the town members not in the "camp" were made to watch a "Red Parade". The point of all this was to show the evils of Communism. Here are some of the pictures taken:
Bottom right — The city’s civic and religious leaders were herded behind fences and guarded by “communist†soldiers.
Bottom left — The theater was taken over by the “communists†as they played propaganda on the big screen.
Top left — A picture of Joseph Kornfeder, the former communist leader who "took-over" Mosinee for a day.
Top (Left to Right) —Mosinee Mayor, Kronenwetter is being taken from his home by “communist soldiers,” the soldiers interrogate the city’s chief of police and towns-people watched as a “Red Parade” marches by.
Bottom — Many of the town’s businessmen and citizens were herded off to a “concentration camp.”

" Messiah ", or Rather Blasphemy!

On Wednesday, for President Obama's 100th day in the Oval Office, This painting will be displayed in the Union Square. And the persons who are sponsoring it are SERIOUS! The title will be displayed in large font, "MESSIAH". Blasphemy! And even worse, a place in Ohio has displayed a very expensive bronze statue of P. Obama on a donkey walking over palm leaves.
Fortunetly, the Union Square one was canceled because the painter got more than a 1,000 emails, letters, and phone calls, all being very angery, and protesting. The one in Ohio is still up, though.

Tea Parties
I'm sorry it has been so long since I last wrote. Today is the 14th of April. Tomorrow there will be more than 700 tea parties nationwide, and even in Denmark! We are going to the one in this area. Since Portland is so very liberal, out of 1,000,000 people, only 1 or 2,000 people are thought to show up. The one in Atlanta will probably have some 18,000 people. Those are some BIG numbers. I will post pictures either tomorrow, or Thursday.

Shed... Down. Fort... Down. Next......
Over the course of 2 or 3 weeks, we have knocked... or rather destroyed our old shed, and a 12' tall fort we play in (and it also acts as a storage space). In the place of it, we are going to build a 16 x 24 x 14 feet, as well as 2 stories. It will take a while, a month at the least.
We have filled and disposed at least 5 trailer- loads of wood. Our trailer is about 7 x 5 feet. and we stacked each load at least 5 1/2 to 6 feet. We didn't save much wood. The person who built the old shed was a bad designer. he made the roof in a way in which the wood rotted through. And he pretty much used tacks to hold the walls up. It was easy to destroy. The floor, well, it was made of bricks about 5" thick and 1' long. It was very poorly designed.
The fort, well, that was more difficult to tear down. It took us at least 7 hours to tear it down. It took us 2 days. We built it 2 years ago, and it was well built. And the stuff was heavy! My dad just took an electric saw, and went through it all. I thought it was kind of fun. [Random note: our fort is as tall as a polar bear on its haunches. This animal can get to be 11 1/2' tall when upright.]
I have very few pictures right now, but I will get some later. Probably Monday.
What else is going on? Well, my mother and Ethan were sick over the week. It made for some short schoolwork. On Friday, we got a new tape-player, except it isn't a tape player. It plays Ipods and Mp3-players. It is almost all a speaker, except for a cord which connects to the player. It is smaller than a CD, and still quite powerful.

Karate
Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. I have been busy fixing my computer, tearing down things, etc. Well, tonight, I test for my green belt in karate. I will know about 7:45 p.m. I will post my results tomorrow morning. I am very excited, for this belt is the belt level that actually puts me in the middle between having a black belt and just starting. I have been doing karate for 2 years now at Whole Armor Martial Arts. My teacher (sensei) has 14 black belts in different kinds of Martial Arts, including iado (japanese samori swordery), jujitsu, seven breaths karate, and shiho karano karate. His teacher is one of the highest blackbelts in the country. And both are christians. Like I said I will let you know my results tomorrow morning. Oh, and I will mention that this is known to be the hardest belt to promote to besides black belt.

Former Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu: Working against the LIBERALS!
Former Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu was asked a question by a liberal British reporter. Here was his answer:
Interviewer: "How come so many more Palestinians have been killed in this conflict than Israelis?" (A nasty question if there ever was one!)
Netanyahu: "Are you sure that you want to start asking in that direction?"
Interviewer: (Falling into the trap) Why not?
Netanyahu: "Because in World War II more Germans were killed than British and Americans combined, but there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the war was caused by Germany's aggression.
And in response to the German blitz on London, the British wiped out the entire city of Dresden, burning to death more German civilians than the number of people killed in Hiroshima. Moreover, I could remind you that in 1944, when the R.A.F. tried to bomb the Gestapo Headquarters in Copenhagen, some of the bombs missed their target and fell on a Danish children's hospital, killing 83 little children. Perhaps you have another question?"

Cutting your Foot... No Fun At All
On Sunday morning, I was putting away the dishes in the dishwasher; at that time I was putting away the blender pieces, when I the blade slipped out of my hand. This has happened before, and I dodged it when it fell. "Good!" I said to myself and put my foot down. I didn't see the blade under my foot, and stepped on it.
Me and my dad went to the urgent care facility down on Main St, Vancouver, and I was registered in. I sat down... and waited 30 minutes. We got annoyed and when we learned there were no other patients in the building, we waited another 10 minutes, and got up and left.
Then we went to another Urgent Care place on 78Th St. I was admitted in, and the doctor told me I didn't need stitches. I have not had any broken bones nor stitches my whole life. I am doing okay now, though, it did really mess up our Sunday schedule.

The Obama Administration: Right Away?
When you become President, I have noticed 3 ways you can manage and put out your ideas.
1: you can do it all at once and hope your opponents will forget about it over 2 years
2: you can wait and do everything when/if you get your second term.
3: almost the same as 1, do everything in the beginning because you think you're ideas are so important...or you are just playing it dumb.
I personally think that P. Obama is going down the 1st or 3rd road. He has done 5 different things in one week. I hope that in 2 years Republicans will get back the senate, and in 4, remember everything he's done...and take back the Oval Office!
This man can do alot of damage in four years, and lets pray he has a change of heart.

Happy Birthday, Eli Jenks!
Eli Jenks, my nephew, is now 1 year old.
This little boy at 1 is crawling, learning to make himself VERY loud, to pass a ball, and trying to stand up, though not succesful. For me, it is hard to believe that he is one. This year went by soo very fast, that I can remember his first week of life completely. That first week was so very caotic! Someone was almost always coming, or leaving the house. It was crazy! Happy Birthday, Eli (Douglas Albert Jenks)!

Tough Questions...
2 days ago, President Obama suprised the media with a meeting with most all of the major networks (including his "arch enemies", Fox News, and Politico. Both are mostly fair). In that meeting, he went to each reporter, and introduced himself. When he came to Politico's reporter, he did the same. Then the reporter asked the president a question, which asked him if he would keep his word on some things. P. Obama gave the him a very hard look, then said, "I am not here to answer tough questions", and walked away. In my opinion, this shows the real President we have. He is too used to being fawned over by the bias media. And when things get hard, well, he gets mad. What do you think? If you want, place your opinion in the comments box, or e-mail me at Grant@titussystems.com. Thanks!

President Obama: Signing the papers.....
Today, President (which I am sorrowful to call him) Obama is signing the papers to the close of Guantanamo Bay Camp. The camp is where we keep all the terrorists we capture. It is in Cuba. It is also a naval base. P. Obama is right now disputing what to do with the prisoners. Oh, God, Preserve Us!
This is a picture the Camp.

A Day of Doom
Today, January 20Th, is the inauguration of President-elect Obama. I believe God is judging us for not following Him. And now we get the worst. If he does what he says he will, Mr. Obama (for these are the last few hours we can call him that) will, I believe, totally devastate our country. I think he will keep his nose clean until he is re-elected, and then do all his trash. But, he is our president, or, will be, and we will need to respect him and his office. In just a few hours, he will be sitting in this chair, and in this office:
